Qualify the second source before you need it
The cheapest time to qualify a second source is while current supply is still healthy — dual-source the connector on a shipping product and the single-supplier risk is gone before it becomes a shortage. Molex and ALPS Alpine socket part numbers already marked discontinued through distribution are listed with KINGCONN equivalents and sources in the discontinued connector cross-reference table.
