How do I request a drawing or samples for SD 7.0 & SD 8.0?
Email service@kingconn.com.tw with the part number. Clicking any part card on a product page also pre-fills the enquiry subject with that part number. Our sales team will reply with the drawing, samples and pricing.
Can SD 7.0 & SD 8.0 be customised?
Yes. The Taoyuan R&D team covers the full path from design and tooling to volume production, including medical-device ODM experience. Send us the application and the requirement, and sales and engineering will assess it together.
Does an SD Express socket accept a standard SD card?
Yes. SD 7.0 / 8.0 sockets keep the original UHS-I contacts, so a standard SD card works at UHS-I speed; an SD Express card also works in a standard SD socket but only at UHS-I. PCIe / NVMe speed needs the socket, the card and the host controller to all support it.
What is the difference between SD 7.0 and SD 8.0 sockets?
Both are SD Express sockets; they differ in the SD specification version they target, with SD 8.0 raising the PCIe lane speed — the SD 8.0 models in this series include a push-push socket marked Gen4X2. Choose by the specification the host controller supports. KINGCONN lists both generations, with heights in the comparison table and on the drawings.
Is there a drawing for each SD 7.0 / 8.0 socket?
Yes. Click any part card on this page to open the part page and download its engineering drawing (PDF); the dimensions, materials and plating in our spec tables are transcribed from those drawings.
